The Las Vegas Valley Theatre Awards adjudicators didn’t have to quest very long to find that Super Summer Theatre’s production of Monty Python’s Spamalot was worthy of knighthood. The production became the first show of the 2014-2015 season to become Valley Recommended.
“The knights of the round table were once again triumphant in their quest for the Grail,” said Jacob C oakley, founder of the Valley Awards. “Luckily, this means all the audiences are winners.”
Monty Python’s Spamalot is “lovingly ripped off” from classic comedy movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail and features such old carpet classics as taunting French knights, coconuts for horses, and the song “Spamalot,” as well as new songs, new characters, and a lot of laughs. It plays at Super Summer Theatre from now until June 28, 2014. Tickets and more info can be found at www.supersummertheatre.org/spamalot.
Because of its Valley Recommended status, Monty Python’s Spamalot will be eligible for the season-ending “Best of” Theatre Awards in 2015.
